Jake Wiskerchen
As a clinician and small business owner, Jake understands the need to work the mental health community toward a more comprehensive understanding of the firearms community while helping gun owners maintain their own mental well-being without fear or stigma. His deep roots in the profession are helping Walk the Talk America deliver the education and training needed to break down the judgment between cultures and without legislation.
Across the counseling field, Jake has helped people struggling with all types of issues and has been trained in a variety of methodologies and theories. Prior to founding Zephyr Wellness, he gained experience working for six different mental health agencies, three colleges, two school districts, Washoe County Adult Drug Court, and a psychiatric inpatient hospital. He has done work in-home and in-office in both rural and urban communities, and he enjoys teaching, consulting, supervising, and training as much as he does one-on-one psychotherapy.
