Is My Data Safe?

HungryFriend is committed to consumer privacy. They have never sold or rented data to businesses or third parties.

They use bank-level security (256-bit encryption) to ensure safe and secure information.

HungryFriend partners with Fidel for secure, PCI-compliant payment card storage, ensuring user privacy. You can remove linked cards anytime.

How is this free to me?

HungryFriend is completely free to join and costs nothing to use. Contributions are earned as a percent back on linked-card transactions with HungryFriend partners. Download the app to get started.

Why do I need to link my credit card?

Linking an eligible credit or debit card is needed to join the HungryFriend program. When you swipe your linked card at participating restaurants, they will contribute a percent back to your selected cause. HungryFriend only receives transaction data when you use your linked card at participating restaurants or partners. You can unlink or delete your card at any time by going to your Linked Accounts and removing your linked card.

Can I link multiple cards?
Yes! You can link any eligible payment card to your HungryFriend account as long as it hasn’t already been linked to another account. Each card must have a unique card number—so while you can add multiple different cards to your account, the same card cannot be linked to more than one HungryFriend account.
What payment cards are eligible?

You can enroll Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit or debit cards. However, not all cards are eligible, and transactions processed outside of the Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX networks may not qualify.

Using a debit card? To ensure your transaction is tracked, it must be processed as a signature-based transaction rather than a PIN-based transaction.

HungryFriend features popular restaurants across the United States. To browse all participating locations, tap the Partners icon in the app’s bottom menu.
Why didn’t my purchase with my linked debit card work?

Unfortunately HungryFriend’s system can only give donation credits when an authorized signature is used like when you buy with your credit card. Using a PIN number to authorize a purchase unfortunately won’t count towards supporting WTTA. If you need support from their team, please reach out to them here.
