Eddie Davenport, LCSW, LCAS-A, MSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addiction specialist currently practicing in Canton, NC. Eddie began his professional career as a first responder on the East Coast, working in both firefighting and EMS. After struggling with PTSD and the associated stress, Eddie recognized the need for a career change. He earned his Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2021.

Eddie specializes in treating trauma disorders and the various challenges surrounding them. He started his therapeutic career working with juveniles involved in the legal system, helping them and their families navigate the unique struggles associated with legal charges. Eddie is now the owner of Mountain Mind Counseling in Canton, NC, where he enjoys working with individuals of all ages, helping them through life’s various struggles.Eddie is a 2A-friendly counselor and is Level 2 trained in the WTTA’s Firearm Cultural Competency curriculum. He is a multi-time national rifle champion and a current member of Team USA Muzzleloading. With a lifetime of experience behind the trigger and sponsorships from numerous companies in the firearm industry, Eddie understands the stigma surrounding guns and mental health. He believes he is uniquely positioned to help those in need.
