Michael Sodini

Michael Sodini is the founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO of Walk the Talk America, a nonprofit he established in 2018 to bring firearm owners, mental health professionals, researchers, and industry leaders together around practical approaches to suicide prevention and responsible firearm ownership.

Drawing on nearly three decades in the firearm industry, including serving as president of Eagle Imports, Mike brings executive experience, cultural knowledge, and firsthand perspective to conversations that are often divided by politics or misunderstanding. He connects with diverse audiences because he is not there to win an argument or insist that people leave agreeing with him. His goal is to introduce a credible perspective that may be missing from the conversation, particularly the lived experience and cultural context of firearm owners. That approach lowers defensiveness, creates room for more honest dialogue, and helps audiences consider ideas they might otherwise dismiss.

Mike’s speaking appearances include Aspen Ideas: Health, where he participated in the session “Preventing Gun Violence: When Legislation Isn’t Enough,” and keynote addresses at the Rutgers New Jersey Gun Violence Research Center Summit and the Wyoming Suicide Prevention Symposium. He has also presented WTTA’s work at the White House as part of the federal PREVENTS initiative and participated in the first Suicide Prevention Town Hall held at SHOT Show.
